NAI Rampart’s story begins in 1916, when Harry Latter and Joseph E. Blum founded a commercial real estate company that served Louisiana for over 70 years. In 1986, ownership transitioned to Robert W. Merrick, a nationally respected appraiser and broker, who restructured the organization and expanded it statewide to become Louisiana’s first and only $1 billion real estate company.

In 2024, the Latter & Blum, Inc. family of companies was sold to a national brokerage firm, and the following year, Rampart/Wurth Holding, Inc. (formerly Latter & Blum Property Management) returned NAI Latter & Blum to local ownership and rebranded it as NAI Rampart | Commercial Real Estate.

This transition reinforced NAI Rampart’s commitment to Louisiana’s commercial real estate market, ensuring that its legacy of excellence continues. By combining a century of industry expertise with the leadership and resources of Rampart/Wurth, the company positioned itself for growth while preserving the trusted local relationships that have defined its success.
